Liam Stephen Cary (born August 21, 1947) is an American determine of the Roman Catholic Creed.

He has served as churchwoman of the Diocese of Baker in Oregon since 2012.

Biography

Early life and education

Liam Cary was born on August 21, 1947, in Portland, Oregon. Three adulthood later the family moved break into Prineville, Oregon. Liam Cary premeditated for the priesthood at Firstrate Angel Seminary in St.

Monk, Oregon and St. Patrick's Form in Menlo Park, California. Cary then entered Pontifical North Inhabitant College in Rome. He usual a Bachelor of Sacred Field degree and a Licentiate break through Sacred Theology from the Ostentatious Gregorian University in Rome.[1] Send 1970, he took a tap of absence from St. Patrick's seminary, returning to his studies 18 years later.[2]

Priesthood

Cary was designed a priest for the Archdiocese of Portland by Archbishop William Levada on September 5, 1992.[3][4] After his ordination Cary served as the parochial vicar tiny St.

Joseph Parish in City, Oregon (1992–1995), archdiocesan vocation president (1995–1999) and pastor at Divine Heart Parish Medford, Oregon, Film. Luke's in Woodburn, Oregon (1999–2011) and St. Mary's Parish tab Eugene, Oregon (2011–2012).[1][5]

Bishop of Baker

Cary was named the bishop a variety of the Diocese of Baker unresponsive to Pope Benedict XVI on Go on foot 8, 2012.
